Publishing - Creo String Parameter appears to be interrupted as Timestamp

Guys,

Anyone seen this. We have a Creo String parameter DRAWN_DATE which is
shared with Windchill String IBA DRAWN_DATE. In Creo all looks good the
parameter called out on drawing as &DRAWN_DATE:D displays as 16-JUL-2013.

Here's the strange part. If I publish this Creo drawing as HPGL the
output plt file displays the DRAWN_DATE parameter as a timestamp. FYI, No
surprise the same happens if published as PDF.
Below is the plt file opened in a viewer.

Mind you, DRAWN_DATE is a String in both Creo and Windchill. I'm guessing
Windchill has it's wires crossed and somewhere along the line some one
coded Windchill/Creo to interrupt DRAWN_DATE as a timestamp.
In an effort to fix this I added the config file_timestamp_format
%dd-%MMM-%yyyy to Creo on the CADWorker. It did not help.

I do recall years ago there being an issue with some reserved parameters
along these lines. My guess is DRAWN_DATE is such a case. Any thoughts? I
have logged a call with PTC.

This is the plt file from the Vault folder

This is how it looks in Creo Parametric
