Using PDMLink 9.1 M040, Wildfire 3 and 4.
We often work with imported assemblies containing hundreds of components. We typically want to keep the assembly structure (opposed to re-importing as a single part). We create a WTPart for the assembly number, then associate the assembly dependents as "content". After the WTPart is created, we select the WTPart and all of the assembly's dependent models in the workspace and use Edit / Associate to create the content links. The default association type for CAD models is "image", and there doesn't appear to be a way to select multiple items and set them to "content" all at once, so it's a one-at-a-time selection for potentially several hundred dependents.
Does anyone know of a preference or property setting that will default associations to "content" instead of "image" for CAD models? We create "image" associations, but not nearly as often as "content".
Thanks,
Dan
