Statistics of license use

Can I see statistics/history of how many licenses, and what licenses, have been in use and when? I need to determine the load/use of our license to quantify and determine if we need more licenses.

Edwin Muirhead from Weatherford did an excellent presentation this year at the PTC conference back in June, concerning this very topic. He has developed a utility to help do this and it is free.
