If you create a plan for a project you should create baseline for the Project Plan before the project plan is started After the baseline of project plan is created, you can see a comparation information in the baseline table. You just chose what baseline is compared to actual state.

You have to set the active baseline
then go to the schedule and set a Variance view.
.in this view there are baseline columns
thanks that you could se difference between actual state and the baseline state
It is variance column of the attribute as start duration or finish
variance is a deference between actual Start/Finish and baseline Start/Finish and others attributes.
