I am using Windchill PDM Essentials Release 10.2 and Datecode with CPS M010
Upon uploading or checking in I the "upload failed" the following message in event manager java.lang.nullpointerexception. I have cleared cache and workspace, restarted Windchill, rebooted server.
Here are the errors that I faced

can you share the errors in the MS logs, we can't really tell much only with the NPE
where would I find MS logs?
If you are the site admin, Site - Utilities - Server Status - Monitoring Tools
if you have access to the server, WT_HOME/logs folder.
Kudos on log analysis but what we need is the entry for NullPointerException that is for the timestamp of your upload. If you can repeat it and then look in logs for that time period. Its a good idea to look a bit before and a bit after to be sure all messages are captured. Note that NullPointerExceptions are very generic and can be common.

Thanks to those that tried to help. The issue was a little deeper with my server. After that was straighten out, then a Java issue but once that was resolved then took much help from Tristar to get me up and going.
If possible to summarize, that would be helpful for closing out this thread.
