Upgrade from 9.1 to 10.1

Hi Everyone,

Little background. We have CAD on its own server and instance of WC 9.1 and Doc Data and change process on another server and instance on 9.1. Nothing is the same except they are both WC 9.1.

The CAD group wants to move to 10.1. We are not ready to move the Doc data to 10.1 as we are still defining the process maps, object types etc.

Thoughts/Experience anyone?

Is it cleaner to just export the existing doc data from the old 9.1 (tweek) and then import into a new 10.1 or should I import the Doc Data into a new architecture on 9.1 before updating to 10.1?

It is always better to upgrade and then import if you have a choice. Regardless document objects are simpler than other object types and it should not matter whichever comes first - upgrade or import. Also, upgrade process has improved a lot from early days.
