Using Options and Variances in Windchill 9.1

I'm looking for general information on how to use options in Windchill 9.1 forstructuredeviations. Does anyone know any information about using these? The information contained in the Windchillhelp files is limited, and I'd really just like a simple overview document or something that can be used as a starting point.

We currently push partsfromWindchill to Dynamics AX, so if you have any knowledgeabout how options would affect that also, please share that too. Thanks!

Hello Antonio,

I don't have any document on this , but for sure it is an aproch to reduce the number of end-items in Windchill.Basically what you would need is a Filter Template to be defined in Org Level with Option Class and Options .

Example :

Monitor (Samsung , LG) : Harddisk (Seagate /Sony) ..

Importantly you need to regiter the defined filter template.Once it is defined , we create the configurable part to abide to this functionality. Ill share one when I am done with some documents.
