Using Windchill with Apple Mac's

We have several users who work on artwork and related files which are managed in Windchill (9.1). They are not currently able to access and work with Windchill directly with the Mac's - they need to download using a Windows machine, then copy over (and reverse steps to check in).

Is anyone working with Mac's directly? At what WC release is it possible (we're going to 10.1 later this year)?

I also have a call in to tech support on this.

thanks in advance

Are you working out of Safari? What happens in Mozilla??

We're currently constrained to only using IE. Currently at 8; going to Windows 7 and IE 9 by the end of the year.

I don't know -- you can check the support matrices, but I don't believe so.

Just FYI to all, we successfully exercised a document with a MAC.

Slightly different procedure needed. No right click. Cannot download directly. Drag and drop on the Java applet doesn't work, so have to browse, etc. But, works ok.

thx to all who replied.

Ah - left out key piece of info - this was with Windchill 10.1 (F000).

While Apple Macs aren't officially supported, PTC does have products for iPhone & iPad:

These work great for process approvals, and abilities to view and explode assemblies (shake the device = explode ;-).

Hope this helps.
