WPA is not meeting enterprise application supportability requirements. Product can not be installed as service, which is the basic feature in any enterpsie application. Support team has to manually start the product after every planned and unplanned system downtime. MS support team is puching back on the installation of porduct until this issue is resolved.

Navneet,

Thanks for submitting this idea.  This is something that we are considering for a future release.  It is currently not scheduled for a release at this time.

After near six years, this idea is still under consideration for a future release?

Pete,

You should have UTC CCS join this community and vote on this idea.  Voting on ideas will help determine the priority across customers for future enhancements

Same here. What's the scoop on this one?I'm guessing additional votes is not going to help prioritize this after so many years and slim chances for future updates.

Anyone using alternative tools to run WPA as a service? Our Cost server crashes approximately once a week. Still diagnosing that problem, but as noted above, it is very tedious and inconvenient to manually start the application with the batch file vs. setting it up as a service to be monitored and restarted when needed.
