The same is Windchill
Windchill can contain
Hi
Windchill (formally "Foundation") was historically the "high end" solution for large company
and PDMLink a pre configured solution
Now Windchill is more the solution brand.
and PDMlink the PLM module of the solution (Doc, CAD, Part, BOM, change management)
MPMLink is the manufacturing module (mBOM, routings, etc ...)
Supplementary to the reply of Gregory, based on the Windchill Technology you have several 'Links', all specific solutions ready to be used: PDMLink as PLM-solution, ProjectLink as project-extension for PLM, SupplierLink, MPMLink, PartsLink, RequirementsLink, ...
hi,
Thank you for answering.
What is the use of pdmlink.What type of applications we can develop by using pdmlink ? Can you please expalin with some small example ?
Regards,
Sandeep
Hi,
By using pdmlink we can customize the any pdm systems like windchichill (instead of using windchill api directly).
is this correct ?.
Regards,
Sandeep
Think you are missing the point a little here, PDMLink is not a customization tool or application development tool for Windchill, but is the PDM element of Windchill.
Or in other words:
PDMLink = Windchill
ProjectLink= Windchill
MPMLink = Windchill
they just cover different areas of PLM, the group name of which from PTC is Windchill.
Cheers
