What new features of 10/10.1 did you show your users?

We are getting ready to kickoff our upgrade from 9.1 to 10.1. I would like to give a few demos to the users to show them what's improved or new in 10.1

If you did something similar or have recently upgraded, what features did you demo, or were the users most excited about.

Hi Stephen,

I have seen a lot of clients get excited about the Desktop Integration.

It has improved a lot over the years and demos really well as it allows users to browse windchill documents directly from Windows Explorer.

It also opens the door for increased adoption of Windchill by other teams by providing an easy method of getting your document management under control.

I feel your pain as I am a new MacBook Pro owner myself 😉

I am planning on trying out VMware Fusion to see how it handles DTI as Fusion integrates nicely with the MacOS desktop (granted extra Windows 7 license required).

Hi Brian,

I have observed all of the same issues. Although stability has improved in 10.1 and maintenance releases appear to enhance stability with every release.

It I can be a struggle to deploy, as client desktop OS configurations are all over the place, so there is a learning curve for adopting it at your site that involves figuring out so that it plays nice with your infrastructure.
