Windchill Desktop Integration: Server Connection Issue

Hi,

I have just installed the Windchill Desktop Integraton tool and am trying to connect to my Windchill Server via Microsoft Office 2003. In the "Configuration" menu, I enter the server location as https://myserver.mycompany.com/Windchill/app and assign an alias, "Windchill." So far this is the same steps I would follow to register a server within the Creo 3.0 environment.

Next, when Im trying to connect it prompts me I get the error below.

I'm not an expert, but just have a small suggestion for you to try. I have not included the /app portion of the URL. If you remove that, does it help?

What version of Windchill are you using? 10.2 does not support Office 2003.

I already connect it to the server! I change the URL.

from https://myserver.mycompany.com/Windchill to http://myserver.mycompany.com/Windchill

Thanks for reading my post. By the way it supports MS Office 2003.

You may find that PTC Windchill Desktop Integration works with Microsoft Office 2003, but Microsoft Office 2003 is officially retired by Microsoft and officially unsupported by PTC at Windchill 10.2. If you run into any issues or experience problems, neither Microsoft or PTC will be able to help. I would strongly suggest moving up to a more current version of MS Office. The ribbon interface is really not that bad 😉

Not that bad??? I hate it. I've been on MS Office 2010 for over 2 years and I still hate it.
