All,
I'm seeing some odd behaviour with Windchill and Internet Explorer. When a user first logs into Windchill and their home page is being displayed it can sometimes take ages for the page to appear, if they press the F5 key (refresh) it then appears immediately
Anyone know of a setting in IE that may be causing this
Cheers
Chris
We have seen issues like this and you should clear the browser cache and reduce the total size of the cache so it is smaller (somewhere around 50 meg works well for me). When you press F5 and refresh the page it is forcing the browser to download the content again, which it can do faster than verifying the local cache content. The browse cache tends to be made up of lots of tiny files, all the anti-virus monitored IO activity around that can really hurt performance.
