Hi again guys, This makes no sense to me. When I promote an object with this workflow, it immediately set it to Under Review, even though the workflow is sitting at the SOURCING step. Am I missing something here? Also, if you have a debugging tip, please let me know!
Is the data on the Promotion Request or the Promotion Request itself (or both) getting set to the Under Review state?
If the lifecycle of the object(s) being Promoted uses the Lock transition, then the first thing that happens to the data is that they are set to that Lock state (e.g. Under Review).
It was the objects in the promotion request that were getting set. I moved the Sourcing action to be before the first conditional statement. I still need to look into that conditional statement again to find the locking transition info.
See attached diagram - which I created in an attempt to understand all this. Applies for WC 9.x - wizard steps consolidated in 10.x.
Promotion is very simple in concept but in fact has a large number of related configurations available that make it tricky to get the intended results.
