Hi All!
We are in the process of upgarding to WC10 from 9.1. We started with WC back in 2007 by migrating from Teamcenter and had never purged the DB. Obviously, over the years, we accumulated a lot of junk, as, for example, wt-parts without anything associated to them - "reserved" numbers and so on. So, I would like to figure out the best practice for cleanning and purging the DB up before we go to 10.
Do you have one? Rules and criterias?
Thank you,
😄
Hello, Pls have a complete anaysis before going for purging.
Puging can be done on objects inside Context or even in the folder level.
After completion of purging pls remove the unreferenced files from the vaults so that you ebd up freeing lots of space.
Purging can be scheduled at any point/ interval.
There is also another facility to archive the purged data.Which can be retived later.
