Recently we're having strange performance issues on new servers. They are Dell PowerEdge M710HD with latest Intel CPUs and tons of memory. During testing stage performance was good, however, switch to production problems occur one after another.
I suspect the bottleneck in disk i/o and network latency. All servers configured pair of drivers as Raid 1, disk controller is Dell PERC H200 Embedded. Write-caching on disk is out of question. Oracle data files are running on Netapp storage. Disk performance is nothing to write home about. Please see attachment from ATTO disk benchmark. Also I notice TCP connection latency great than 200 ms for Oralce TNS listener.
I'm welcome any suggestions and comments, please share spec on your server.
