Going through the PTC University training for Windchill and one of the performance tuning recommendations is "On the client, the Web browser cache directory should be excluded from both read and write scanning.". Are they referring to the Pro/E & Windchill cache only, or something more global for the browser?I'mhoping they're referring to the folders located under the .wf folder such as those on my Win7 system locatedunder C:\Users\myusername\AppData\Roaming\PTC\ProENGINEER\Wildfire\.wf. - in my case I have a .cache2 and a .cache2008 folder at that location. Am I correct in my assumption of what "cache directory" they are referring to? Has anyone done any comparisons to see how much of a performanceimpact client side virus scanning software has on Windchill?
Thanks,
Erik
