warning for files modified locally

warning for files modified locally

hello,

is there a possibility to show up a warning for modified locally files to tell that no checkin is available?

Actually, now that I'm looking at this more closely, I don't think you will.  Starting with Windchill 10.2 you can upload files that are not checked out.  PTC termed this "Universal Upload".  This is intentional, and actually very helpful, but the end result is that there never will be anything you can't upload, even if it's not checked out.

Hi Christian,

When files are modified locally, but not checked out the Modified Status column should display an icon indicating that the file is not eligible for upload:

Are you looking for something else?

yes, something like that but in our system it don't show that warning

is there some preference to set?

No preference.  Just add these two columns to your table view:

ok, yes it is very helpful but with users not so "skilled" it's a mess.

the guilt is of course of the users!
