windchill cluster

We are trying to have a Windchill 12.x cluster environment which can act as a fallback system as well.

Anyone with experience in setting a cluster.

We do have a single machine which is our production with WC 12.1.2.0 installed.

In general, you would need to setup a slave server with the same config as master server & have all the required network ports opened between them as well as the properties for each node.

Database, Vault & Directory server (DS) would be shared between both the servers.

In our case, we plan to have 2 VM A and B

Can we have 2 method servers and 1 background method server?

If we have 2 method servers will both be foreground method server or 1 is just a MS and 1 is a Foreground MS

I did not get this part clear!

I did get that foreground handles all requests and background will take care of queues....

Or you can have 1 MS/1BGMS & increase the heap size too.
