This worksheet using PTC Mathcad shows you how to compare the air pressure versus elevation when calculating the air volume in an air and aerated mud drilling. To begin, the worksheet provides you with a data set of the elevation (vx) and pressure (vy) of air. Next, you are provided with the calculations for slope and are given the elevation parameters.
After that, the data is plotted showing elevation versus pressure and the inverse relationship between the two. All notation, formulas, calculations, plots, and solutions, have been provided to help you in your own calculations.
