Did you know about LABEL and HELPTEXT in *.dat files?

Did you know that you can use the keyword LABEL and HELPTEXT to set the label and the help text in the IFX Fastener Definition dialog?

Without LABEL and HELPTEXT you get this result for the ISO4014-5_6.dat:

Label: ISO4014-5_6 - this exactly the name of the *.dat file

Help text: n/a

iso4014-5_6.png

Now we add LABEL and HELPTEXT to the ISO4014-5_6.dat:

LABEL ISO 4014 - 5.6
HELPTEXT Hexagon head screw with shank

Now we see this result:

ISO 4014 - 5_6.png

It is also possible to translate the label and the help text using the <IFX loadpoint>\text\<LANG>\ifx_translation.txt

Note:

  • If you use LABEL and/or HELPTEXT in your *.dat file, then the translation from ifx_translation.txt is not used.
