Did you know about ifx_translation.txt file?

Did you know that you can use the ifx_translation.txt file to translate your label and help text in the IFX Fastener Definition dialog?

The file is located in <IFX loadpoint>\text\<LANG>\ifx_translation.txt

You can translate

  • catalog label and help text
  • fastener data files (*.dat) label and help text

For each catalog/*.dat name you can add a label and help text as described in the list below:

  • <NAME>.Label for the translation of the name.
  • <NAME>.HelpText for the help text that appears when you place the pointer on the name.

Example:

The example shows how to add a translated label and help text for the ISO4014-5_6.dat fastener data file for german.

ISO4014-5_6.Label

ISO 4014 - 5.6 Steel

ISO 4014 - 5.6 Stahl

ISO4014-5_6.HelpText

ISO 4014-5.6 (DIN931) Hexagon head screw with shank\nproduct grades A and B

Sechskantschraube mit Schaft\nProduktklassen A und B

Note:

  • If you have the same name for a screw and pin catalog, you have to add the prefix "screws." respectively "pins." to show a different label or help text.
  • You can use "\n" to add a line break in your help text.
  • If you use LABEL and/or HELPTEXT in your *.dat file, then the translation is disabled.
