One of the [File] [Save a Copy] options in Proe is to write a 3d pdf of your model. I've only used it a couple of times, but it seems to be a great way to send an image to a vendor that they can spin and zoom in on.
I've got a small model that I'm having trouble with the spin center being way out in space somewhere (in the Adobe Reader). It's so far off the model the spin feature is unusable.
As an experiment I locked the spin center in Proe to a coordinate system near the center of the small assembly and wrote another file. It made no difference in the 3d pdf, the spin center was still way out there.
Any ideas?
Is it a proe setting? An acrobat preference setting? A bug?

I'm thinking that your model must not be located at 0,0,0. What are the X,Y, and Z co-ordinates of the c-system that you placed in the center of the model? I'm thinking that you may have to relocate the model to 0,0,0.
Have you checked the model size (Info>model size)? It sounds like the bounding box is much larger than the actual model. This can happen when datum features are created in the model that extend much farther than the model itself. They're turned off or hidden but the bounding box size remains large enough to contain them. HTH.
