Currently if you enter a parameter name in a pattern table, when the table is saved, the parameter is evaluated once for its current value and the cell is assigned that value. If the parameter is changed, the table does not change.
Allow parameters to be used in pattern table cells and remain there to be evaluated at each regen just like when they are assigned to dimensions via relations.
Each value in a pattern table has its own dimension ID assigned and is accessible. Although the table UI doesn't create the relation, it can be done after the fact. I think this capability would be useful at several levels UI levels anywhere an indirect value is entered. What gets me most is when I use a fraction like 1/3 and it rounds to whatever your current number of decimal places is set to. This dimension should always know that it is .333333333333. This is not always the case, especially in pattern definitions!
I voted for this so we may get a more robust UI for data entry in all respects.
I have added both part and feature driven relations to this part.
