Artifact naming conventions/requirements?

All the examples in the PTCU intro to Creo Schematic 2.0 lessons use an underscore in place of spaces in artifact names.

Is this a requirement or just a preference of the author?

What are the requirements for the names, if any?

Many thing "UNIX" cannot tolerate spaces and it is still a convension within PTC products.

Many feature names in Creo do not allow dashes either.

Therefor, most people have adopted that for everything so we don't have to learn which works and which doesn't. It's just easier that way.
