Assembly of Roller

Hello everyone, I am new to the forum and forgive me for any mistakes.

I was trying to assemble some parts for a mechanism which include a roller, a board with a slot and a housing for the roller.

The roller is supposedly to roatate around a pin in the housing and at the same time has to roll in the slot.

I achieved the roller housing assembly using a pin connection but am not able to get the motion between the roller and slot.

Thank You.

Hi Krisna,

I would suggest you to go for SLOT CONNECTION

To do that

Make a curve in the center of the slot

Make a point in your roller center axis, on desired surface

Now go for a SLOT CONNECTION

For better performance add a additional general connection (plane to plane oriented)

Now you can add two servo motors and get both motion rotating of the roller as well as movement through the slot

(If you want movements with frictions then I think you have to go for Mechanism Simulation)

This is a very late response and I am only responding for automated reasons. But your question is very confusing. If you still use PTC creo please try and make your questions more clear.
