Auto coloring in Creo Parametric

Hello,

Kind of need information on auto coloring in creo parametric,

Now consider I'm dealing with a large number of cables or wires in creo parametric. And I need to assign different colors for each cable. Rendering colors to each cable kills my time.

I have an Excel sheet which states the variation of colors for different cables.

Now

1) Can I make Autocoloring using the Excel sheet (maybe using that sheet  in XML format)

2) Does pro-e programming help me on this?

No autocoloring in Creo unless you assign color to a material, then set your material.

I would think the effort to write the pro-program would be harder than just assigning a color to each cable type as you create them.
