AutoCAD 3D DWG to Pro/E Model

We have 3D DWG files of conveyor systems that were created using a vendors AutoCAD add-on. They are created using non-solid entities (surfaces). When importing the DWG file into Pro/E as a prt file only pieces come in and are displayed. 90% does not import

I tried to export to acis from AutoCAD but there are no solid bodies to select for export.

Anybody have any tricks or reccomendations.

TIA

Joe

This doesn't sound good for you. You will probably need to see what your
export options are in AutoCAD first. This SHOULD have been handling as
either an IGES or possibly a STEP type of file. I am sure that you are
familiar with all of that. IF you can get a better copy of the ACAD file you
will probably resolve your problems downstream.
