Change density of all parts in an assembly - how?

Colleagues,

I have an assembly, imported as Step, where all components have density=1 tonne / m^3.

I need to change the density of all components to 7.8e-9. Is there any way to do this without changing all components one by one?

/Mats Lindqvist

*edit* : The purpose here is to run a simulation in Creo Mechanism Dynamics

Hi,

  • open assembly
  • add new column into Model Tree and put model parameter mp_density into it
  • set density value for all components step by step using CTRL+V and ENTER

I noticed you can also set the density for bodies, parts or whole assemblies in the Mechanism Dynamics tab... This seems to be working.

Another way would be to use modelcheck.
