Change dim attachment in patterns?

Age old problem, just wondering if there is a fix yet.

I have a pattern of holes. The dimension get's attached to the second member of the pattern.

I can't find any way to attach it to any other member of the pattern.

Using WF4 M170

One of my co-workers showed me you can erase the dimension, pick show by feature and view, and then pick the hole you want the dimension attached to.

You still can't use edit attachment to move it to another member.

If you just show by view, the dimension is always attached to the second member of the pattern and you can't change it.

Our fix is to modify the pattern so that the FIRST feature, the one that
is patterned, is JUST where you want to show the dimensions... So if
I have a simple 2x2 and in my drawing, I want to use the lower left one
to show my dimensions on but the pattern was created of the upper right,
I'll redefine things so that the original feature is on the lower
left... a bit of a pain/work-around...

Thanks...
