Hello, I am working with a complex CAD model that has different components, and my task is to reduce the amount of polygons and faces within this model to simplify it. How do I find the total number of polygons/surfaces for the model as a whole?
The simplest of searches for "Creo polygon count" yields the following result:

perhaps this is of interest to you.
This will only give you the number of polygons, but pretty much zero information as to how to reduce that count.
I'm also very interested in an answer for this.
You might want to try, if you haven't already, saving the model as a shrinkwrap (choose this option from the file type menu when using the Save As command), then select "faceted solid". This gives you a quality slider that you can use to simplify the model. This might not work if the model isn't already solid.
