Created and dimensions from the model

Hi,

How do we differentiate in a drawing between a created dimension and a dimension which is called from a model? For example, if we have 25 created dimensions in a drawing and 36 dimensions got by SHOW-ERASE method, how does the user come to know which dimension belongs to which category?

Best regards,

Simha

The dimensions that are model based will be d<xx> (<xx> being a number)

The dimensions that are created will be ad<xx>

Ron's approach will give you this info for all dims on the drawing at once.

If you are only want to know this about a single or few dims you could try to edit the dim. A model dim will show a value that is editable...not the case for a driven dim or sketched dim or whatever your preferred terminology is for it.

Thanks Michael.

Thanks Ron

You can also hover the mouse pointer over a dimension to see the dimension name (dxx/adxx).

Using the FIND tool, you can search for dimensions. It's easy to find all the created dimensions.

Yet Another Workflow:  In the Review tab, Highlight By Attributes.  I'd generally use one of the other approaches already noted, but this can be another tool in the toolbox.
