Creo 2: Bug in translating along a line?

I believe this is a bug. My coworker gets the same result. In a drawing, when trying to translate or copy something along a line (by picking two points on the line) it doesn't work.

To simplify, here are steps to reproduce:

  1. In a drawing, sketch a line
  2. Sketch something else, or create a symbol or text (anything really)
  3. Attempt to Translate OR copy the “something else” you made
    1. Use “Select a point on drawing object or entity” for the first point and pick a point on the line
    2. Use “Select a point on drawing object or entity” for final destination point and pick another point on the same line. (Thereby moving the object along the line)
  4. It doesn’t work. Copying creates a second object right on top of the first, and translating doesn’t do anything.

It works for a point on one line to a point on a different line. All the other selections (vertex, free point, etc) work as expected. It's only from a point on a line to another point on the SAME line that doesn't work.
