Creo Schematics 2.0 Data Table Confusion

In the Datatable Explorer I am able to save a selected table out as a .csv file to edit in excel, but I can't seem to reload it back in. The reload button is grayed out and the "load a datatable from a .csv file" produces the error "No New Items will be loaded". If I change the name of the .csv file I can use the load button to bring it in, but then it's not connected to the catalog anymore. What am I missing? I was told there was a way to update datatables through the Datatable interface.

Thanks!

Alex

Hi Alexander,

Are you using the Central Catalog option? If so, you have to set a catalog password and then unlock the catalog in order to reload a datatable. It's an option that was added at the request of catalog administrators to prevent users from inadvertently editing content that they're not supposed to touch. This also applies to being able to edit catalog shapes, etc.

Regards,

Martin
