Datum axis tag

I am trying to search for a set datum axis tag on parts so I can set them on a layer. I am able to find the annotation part of the datum axis and set it on a layer but can't seem to find the datum tag for the set datum.

I am looking for the command in the adminGuide for search_mdl_refs called datum tag. I have tried axis_face, annotation, axis and gtol but no luck.

Has anyone been successful doing this?

Maybe this helps - PTC also call them "Shown Datums"

Are you looking to set the Geometric Tolerance "tag" of an axis to a layer or the whole axis?

FYI - This is probably the type of question that should be done as a Tech Support Ticket on www.sigmaxim.net rather than here in the Creo Automation threads.

Joel,

I am looking for the Geometric Tolerance "tag" of an axis not the whole axis. I used the "PLANE" reference option when using "search_mdl_refs" and it worked.
I am not sure why, but I will take it.
