Decal

How do I embed a decal so anyone (including myself) who opens the part with the decal will see it without them having to do anything.

There is a config.pro option so the decal saves embedded in model

save_texture_with_model

But, that being said, if the other user(s) who open your model don't have texture set to display, they will not see it.

I am going to assume that there is no other way other than to change config option. This is not a preferred solution. Thanks!

Read the final comment in this discussion for more info/caution on using this config setting.

Objects are not visible in the drawing

I do not believe there is different solution. Maybe someone else has a work-around.

Note only the person saving the file needs to have the option save_texture_with_model active.

(the person viewing it will be able to see the bitmaps embedded into the model / drawing depending on whether the person saved the file with that option active)

In my experience, it is best to move the image file after saving the drawing or model.  If you open the file again, and Creo finds the image file in its original location, when you save the file without save_texture_with_model set to yes it will be removed from the drawing or model.
