Default selection to all files while importing

Hello, I am tired of choosing all files every time. Is there any way to keep option "all files" as default one while importing.

Hello @Ananth_Narayan please confirm which product you are using so your post can be moved to the appropriate product board for more exposure.

I use Creo Parametric.

Hi,

please provide more details about import action you execute.

Martin Hanák

When I start assembling file of other formats (say .stp). I click on assemble and on the bottom it shows part file (.prt)- creo files. I will now choose all files and then choose the stp file. What if the part file is removed from default list and keep all files options so that I no need to change the option every time.

I don't think there is an option to change the default type of file to be assembled to "All".

And if you find yourself doing something repeatedly, you should consider recording a mapkey...

Mapkeys can be assigned to a button on the ribbon or the quick-access toolbar.

I am not sure of map key, can you provide link to assign map key. Have a look at this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGafJHgppD0 from 0:22, when the person chooses assemble the file type is set to all files. If this person can have this setting, there must be a way which I am unsure of.

The PTC Creo Collaboration Extensions provide organizations with the tools to collaborate more effectively when working with data from multiple CAD systems, enabling design teams to improve product quality, desirability, and on-time delivery.

Hi,

according to https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article?n=CS38304 setting Type=All Files is not possible. I suggest you to open Case at PTC Support and send them the link to youtube video.

How can you be sure the video is not edited?  As for mapkeys - please search the forum, these have been discussed before plenty of times.
