We have a few parts that have the density field greyed out (disabled) if you go to the Mass Properties tab on the ribbon interface. However, if you go to the dialog from File > Prepare > Model Properties > Mass Properties the field is editable and saves the density to the model. The other field updates, but remains disabled. The part was created back in Pro-E WF5.0. Has anyone every seen this before? I am running Creo 2.0 M080 and the problem occurs with and without windchill.
Aaron,
The issue is do to the model having a material file assigned to it. Once the material file has been assign you need to change the density in the material file or create a new material file with the proper density and assign it to the model.
To change the material file or remove it in Creo go:
File > Prepare > Model Properties > click Change next to material > then either select the material file and right click and either choose Properties to edit or Unassign and then assign a new material.
Hope this helps,
Don Anderson
