Dumb family Table question?

I know how to swap columns in a family table. Is it possible to do rows?

You can edit your family table in MS Excel and there you can do anything to it. Then update Family table.
Once in Family table, Generic - File-Edit with Excel.
I'm on WF5, possibly on previous releases it may look different, but that's the idea.
Hope this answer your question. Let me know if you want me to go in detail.
And it isn't a dumb question, only questions that remain unasked are dumb. 🙂

Great! I will try. Thanks!

All:

I am not very good at using offset lines in exploded assemblies. But now I find it grayed out. This is both in View Manager & View; Explode; Offset Lines. So now I am really bad at it.

Try to save the excel file before jumping back to the family table!!

Occasionally after editing the file, I would not save properly and lose everything!! It ends up being in a Windows temp folder somewhere, but it's a bitch to find sometimes!!

Have a good weekend.

Within ProE "family table" window... use the SORT option to re-order the rows by the column / criteria that you would like them to be sorted by. There is most likely a reason you want to swap rows, just use that criteria for your sort.

Thanks for reading my 2 cents!

I used Tool>Family table> (highlighted all rows) >Tool>Sort> (Ascending
or Decsending).

I forgot this was there. Worked fine. Thanks Calvin.

I thank everyone for the Excel remedy. I have not messed with this yet.
But I want to see how it works out when I get a chance.
