Dxf inserts in wrong orientation to sheet format

Hello;

     I'm a SW user who occasionally gets asked to output dxf's as cgm file, & we have Creo so I can do it within that. I inserted the data from the

dxf into a drawing, & if I say fit, everything comes in different scales, however if I say don't fit to scale, it comes in proportionally but not within the

format area. How do I move it within the format area?

Thanks;

When you open the DXF as a drawing, it takes on the value of the DXF file, including bounds.

When you import it, it give you a scale option.

These are now sketches entities.  You can translate, rotate, scale, etc. the same as you would any drawing sketch.

Personally, I prefer to open the DXF file as a model.  Then I can make a drawing using a view of the 2D model.

I can also manage origin locations if there is a reference available.

I also export DXF from drawings with "formats" blanked.
