Dynamic clipping

Dynamic clipping

In Ideas there was a command called "Dynamic Clipping". This would allow you to cut through and view a part or assembly real time using your mouse to slide the cutting plane through the assembly or part. Is there a command similar to that in Creo Element Pro 5.0?

Does View -> Display Settings -> Visibilities still exist in WF5?

Up to WF4 at least it's the closest available function, with the (rather significant) limitation that it only sections parallel to the screen. However, it's still better than nothing and we use it frequently.

This functionality was added in Creo 2.0, it's called dynamic sectioning. It is a huge improvement over previous functinality. In WF 5 I'm afraid you will need to create a cross section thru a datum plane and then keep moving the datum plane to see what you need.

When you create a section in WF5, do you not get a dialog that allows dynamic sectioning while creating the section?

Bill is right, Creo 2 opens a dialog with dynamic options until you lock the section by saving it.

Thanks for answering my question! This is limited like you said but it'll work for now.

Thank you,
