I've played the module some and see that this relies on borrowed functionality from sheetmetal. With that, it comes with the restriction of a common wall thickness for the entire board. In reality, flexible regions have a thinner wall thickness than the rigid sections. A rigid section might be .093" while a flex region would be .020. Is this on the docket for enhancements or just the way it is?

After working with PTC Tech Support and playing with features, it appears that rigid flex is a common wall thickness in Creo. The design must also start in Creo. You cannot create a board with rigid flex from scratch from an IDX files. At least this is so in Creo 4.0. Bummer.
I am not totally up to date on the latest functionality in Creo 4.
In the past I have used separate part models to represent the flex and rigid substrates and then created an assembly of these parts to represent the rigid/flex assembly design.
