Elbow disappearing from drawing dimension

I created an annotation in the model, and then showed it in the drawing but the elbow disappeared. See dim on the left. The dimension on the right was pre-existing and is what I want, how can I achieve that?

Your image didn't come across. Either use the "photo" button just above the text entry box or the "choose files" just below the text entry box.

You can get the elbow by holding down the shift key when moving the dimension.
