Hi,
I am trying to create an exploded view of an assembly with multiple parts. The whole assembly was created in SOLIDWORKS 2023 and I am using STEP file of this assembly to create an exploded view in CREO 7.0. But it seems like I can't use the feature "Move with Children" on STEP file to move two overmolded components together. Any idea ?
Best
Solved! Go to Solution.
When a step file is imported, the assembly components are all independent. There are no "children" so it doesn't know what to move.
Only way I know to fix it is to constrain the parts in creo.

Was this question based on Creo Parametric or Creo Illustrate? I had not noticed before that it was not in the creo parametric board so my answer might not have been for the correct software
This was for Creo Parametric.
Good, that was how I answered it.
