A machining fixture was designed for machining some of our production parts. There are numerous configurations (approximately 25) for the way the fixture can be set up depending upon part length and holes required. This was all designed into the fixture with movable (doweled) holders and supports using family tables. The fixture is done and now we are having an outside firm do the programming for the machining. They have SolidWorks and not Creo. Is there an easy way to export step files for each instance or does each one need to be opened and a new step file created.
This is not a frequent thing, so if they all need to be open and a step file created, that's OK. Since it doesn't happen frequently, I am not looking at writing a program or anything like that. I just wasn't sure if I was missing a simple way to create multiple step files of the various instances.
Thanks, Dale
Maybe a quick mapkey to do all the button pushing for you.
The only way to view/export the instance it to physically open it in Creo.
There would be other options if you had Windchill....
