Hi,
Is ist posible to use parts with complex geometry for familiy tabels.
Pls see attached picture. I have a part where I want to drive the outer diameter by a family table parameter and the inside conture, which has a lot of dimension, should also scale when I change the diameter. I dont want to put in any inside shape dimesnion into family paramter because this is way to much work.
The relations between outer diameter and inside shape should also be constant for each family table part.
Basis question: Is this possible, If yes - how?

Yes, it is possible to use family table to drive the outer diameter of the model. In order to scale the cutout, shape you would need to define the relationship to the outer diameter. If it is as simple as scaling the shape, then you can do this with construction geometry for the cutout shape i.e. a bounding box or polygon and then use a relation to set the scale factor as a function of the outside diameter. This method would apply the scaling in the model when regenerated after a change is made to the OD.
Example of construction circle defining the size of an inscribed polygon:

Or if need be, can you create a series of construction circles that are driven by relations as mentioned by @tbraxton .
