Fill

My goal is to generate a DXF of a 2D pattern for laser etching. Our vendor needs the pattern created and filled where etching is required. The pattern outline is no problem but I can't figure out how the fill the areas to be etched. Anyone know how to do this in ProE?

You are going to have to trick Proe to do this. Take the 2D sketch in Proe and make it a solid 1mm thick or so. Now offset a plane half the thickness so you can make a cross section. Place the section on a drawing sheet and set the cross hatch to around .005 inch or whatever prints out solid, depends on line thickness settings in your print config file. Now you have a filled 2d you export to dxf.
