Format Title Block Text

Since this list was so helpful for me in previous cases I figure I'd ask
for another stumper, at least for me.

When I create a drawing format, I added entries for sheet numbers to be
automatically created as I add sheets. This is good and exactly what I
want. But I'm getting tired of adding drawing titles, revisions and
part numbers on all other sheets. I don't see how to create the text
just once and have it carried through all other sheets, say similar to
spreadsheets. Is there an easy way?

Paul

Hi Paul,

Yes.

The method I used is to call up parameters in your title block for all the
things that you mentioed. In case you are not familiar with calling up
parameters in a drawing then the format is ¶metername. If you do not
have the parameters defined in you model or assembly then when you commence
making a drawing it asks for each value. However I don't like that method
so instead we have a our start parts with all the parameters specified with
a default value. This means a new drawing are auto-populated with these
defaults. We then change the parameter values in the part or assembly and
these update the drawing. Now for the best bit; each new sheet is also
auto-populated with the same parameters.

Works like magic Smiley Happy

Hope this helps.
