How can I do Solid Parts If I have a Surface Part??

Hello There!!

I Have a PRT that is only surfaces, I would like to Know If are there a way to change IT to Solid PRT.

I have Added the file, and waiting that somebody to help me with this ISSUE.

Hi Mauricio,

Here is solid part(Creo3).

You first need to go to import doctor and fix-remove extra surfaces that are messed up then in part modeling add missing surfaces. Merge evrything and then solidify.

If you cant solidify some surface part there are mainly 2 reasons for it:

Quilt is not closed or surfaces are twisted/intersecting.

Another option here is repairing the geometry using IDD. With in IDD you can delete surface, create a new surface, fill the gap and close entities. These steps will not create any additional features in Model tree.

Check attached video for steps to correct geometry in one area.

Sorry Mahesh but I dont Understand the proccess to fill the gap, I dont find the pop up that you show me in the video, could you explain me please??

Ok, steps were as:

1. Enter in IDD mode

2. Select the incorrect surface and delete that selected surface.

3. Create a new surface using boundary blend, before creation I merged two edges (Selected two edges on same side > Merge curves to convert two edges in single)

4. Open Search tool (CTRL +F) and look for Gaps > Click on Find now, result will give you three gaps

5. Move all three gaps to right

6. Select "Close" to fill selected gaps > Finish.
