Hi All,
Our requirement is that after publishing the drawing in HPGL format, output representation must show the content or views or tables which are inside the drawing border only.
Whatever view, table, notes outside of the drawing template or border should not be published.
Is there any way to control this behavior through recepie file or through property/preference setting on server?
Thanks in advance!
~Amit
Our company had same exact problem few years ago when migrating from Intralink 3.3 to windchill 9.0
Pre windchill, if I recall correctly there was a pcf file setting that would print only the area within the drawing border, so anything off the border would not printor paper or file (pdf). But with Windchill 9.0 publisher, this no longer works. At the time, the PTC VAR who did the upgrade had no solution for the problem. Also experimented quite a bit myself at the time but wasnt able to find a workaround. In the end had to manually correct roughly 3000 drawings. Also shaded views did not publish, another item that had to be corrected.
When they say the software is per spec, ask for a copy of the spec. This is hand-in-hand with 'intended behaviour.'
